Snails

We found this little guy in our backyard this weekend. Sad to say that this is the first time I've encountered a snail in the "wild" (except the kind at the beach). He (she?) has a really cool shell with the black stripe spiraling around the way it does. I didn't want him near the vegetable garden or the flowers, so we put him in the wooded area next to our driveway. Hope he's safe there.
